Hello, I'm Amber Hicks

Amber Hicks joined Nor’wood Development in 2005 as a Building Engineer for the Downtown Colorado Springs Commercial Properties.
Amber started her career in 1997, where she worked at Cline Property Maintenance. A small local maintenance company owned by her father. There she worked with Property Managers to maintain multiple properties throughout Colorado Springs.
Most recently, Amber become the Senior Building Engineer for the Downtown Colorado Springs Commercial Properties. Where she helps to oversee all day to day activities of commercial building operation, to include but not limited to mechanical, electrical, HVAC (heating/ventilation/air conditioning), plumbing, carpentry and construction.
Sustainability is a passion for Amber. She has made it her personal goal to help Nor’wood with their efforts to create a more sustainable work place for their clients by getting their existing properties LEED certified. In 2016 Amber was able to achieve a certification of LEED Silver for the Plaza of the Rockies North and South Towers. This work was a collaboration of efforts with many local Colorado Springs venders to include Bestway Disposal, Waxie
Amber holds a degree in Facilities Maintenance Technology from Pikes Peak Community College, well as her SMA (Systems Maintenance Administrator) certification from BOMA International.
Amber is a member of the USGBC southern Colorado springs branch, as well as a member of the local chapter of BOMA.
Amber Lives on the North-East side of Colorado Springs with her Husband Tim and Son Jesse. In her free time Amber like to take her dog Gypsy out for a run on the trails, go fishing with her husband, or hit up a Zumba class at the YMCA.
