CASE STUDY: GOCA 121 Gallery

Infusing Art in an Unexpected Environment

The University of Colorado in Colorado Springs opened their latest gallery, GOCA 121, in February 2010 to the enjoyment of the downtown community. As a satelite gallery to the Galleries of Contemporary Art at UCCS, GOCA 121 offers an opportunity to expose the public to art exhibits not traditionally found in typical galleries. In an article in The Colorado Springs Independent, Executive Director of GOCA 121 Caitlin Green says " There's just endless opportunity here. I think people here are curious and they want to see [GOCA121], and they're excited about new ideas."

GOCA 121 acts as both an independent gallery and as a partner gallery to the UCCS main Gallery of Contemporary Art. Each exhibit is unique and challenges the eye of the viewer.

Nor'wood Development Group is proud to sponsor GOCA 121 at Plaza of the Rockies.
