3rd Annual First & Main Free Summer Concert Series Announced
More Concerts, More Free Fun…All Summer Long
Summer Spectacular to Kick Off 2007 Season on Friday, June 8

Colorado Springs, Colo. – (May 23, 2007) First & Main Town Center announces the 3rd Annual Free Summer Concert Series presented by Penrose-St. Francis Health Services and fueled by The Faricy Boys every Friday night from 5 - 7 p.m. June 8 through August 10, 2007 at the park located directly in front of the Cinemark Theater. The place to be this summer, the concert series features ten weekly outdoor concerts showcasing live music from Colorado Springs’ favorite musical acts as well as free fun with First & Main merchants providing food samples, freebies, and more. Penrose-St. Francis Health Services’ Dr. Funny Bone will join this year’s concert series with summer fun face painting, a magical bubble show; get fit juggling acts and silly balloon twisting.

First & Main will host the Summer Spectacular to kick off the season from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2007 featuring a live band, food samplings from local restaurants, special entertainment for the children including a bouncy castle, giant inflatable slide, face painters and more, and giveaways for the whole family.

“We had such an extraordinary turnout last year, and decided to expand this year’s series from eight to ten concerts as well as enhance the number of First & Main merchants participating each week,” said Cayse Osterlund of General Manager of First & Main Town Center.

The 2007 lineup features a wide range of genres, including classic rock, R&B, oldies, reggae, Latino, big band, swing and jazz:

  • July 20 George Whitesell & His All-Stars (R&B/jump/swing/blues)
  • July 27 The Nostalgics (doo-woop/oldies)
  • Aug 3 Phat Daddy & The Phat Horn Doctors (motown)
  • Aug 10 Radio London (classic rock)
